EUnetCCC, the European Network of Comprehensive Cancer Centres Joint Action, is one of the largest European initiatives in healthcare. Coordinated by the French National Cancer Institute, INCa, the Joint Action brings together 234 partners from 31 countries with a shared ambition: to strengthen cancer care, research, innovation, prevention and education across Europe.

With a total budget of €112 million, including €90 million in EU funding, EUnetCCC is working to establish a sustainable European network of Comprehensive Cancer Centres. The initiative aims to support the certification of new centres, improve existing ones and integrate new members into a coordinated network designed to promote excellence, reduce fragmentation and improve access to high-quality cancer care.

A central objective of EUnetCCC is to contribute to the European goal that 90% of eligible cancer patients have access to high-quality care delivered through centres connected by a European network. By 2028, the Joint Action aims to support the development of 100 Comprehensive Cancer Centres in Europe.

Structured across nine Work Packages, EUnetCCC promotes collaboration between countries, centres, healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, patients and other stakeholders. Its work focuses on strengthening the quality of clinical care and outcomes research, supporting participation in European programmes, and enabling long-term cooperation and sustainability across the European cancer ecosystem.

Through this collective effort, EUnetCCC is helping to build a more connected, equitable and resilient approach to cancer care in Europe, ensuring that progress in care, research, innovation and prevention can benefit more patients, regardless of where they live.
